Our team of travel specialists

Nic Hathaway, Branch Manager Nic joined Bideford Travel in 2019, and has spent his entire 32 year career working in the Travel Industry, it's in his blood! Nic loves to travel and loves his job because he can help others travel the world and make their dreams come true.  Throughout Nic's career he has been lucky enough to travel to some fantastic and unusal destinations, both for holiday and work. Nic says that the most unusual destination was travelling to Siberia for work in a January when it was -44c and then taking the Transiberian Express back to Moscow. His best personal holiday was to Vietnam, a country full of colour, warmth, and fantastic food. And the driving, that's something else!  Top holiday tip: "Take every opportunity you have to travel, never regret not going somewhere or not doing something when you're on holiday. It may be the one time that you will have to experience that opportunity, so never look back and regret not taking it."  Destinations travelled to: too many to mention, 52 in total, including, Russia | Vietnam | USA | Canada | Italy | Cyprus | Poland | Czech Republic | Greece | India | South Africa | Thailand | Hong Kong | the Caribbean | Mauritius | Ireland | Spain | Hungary + more

Isobel Aldridge, Travel Consultant Isobel (Izzie) is our newest member of the team, and she has been lucky enough to travel and live abroad quite extensively, Despite being a relatively new member of the team, Izzie has soon fallen in love with job because she loves to make our clients holiday dreams come true.   Izzie loves to travel, and if she could jump on a plane tomorrow she would go to Singapore. She says "there is an endless choice of things to do, and my most favourite has to be the breath-taking Gardens by the Bay".  Top holiday tip: "Planning is always recommended for the important parts of the holiday, but my top tip is to stay flexible and go with the flow for the day to day holiday goings on. Not everything always goes to plan, stay flexible and keep an open mind and that way it’s easier to not be disappointed."  Destinations travelled to: Australia | New Zealand | Thailand | Cambodia | Singapore | Malaysia | Bali | Dominican Republic | Uganda | USA | France | Spain | Portugal | Greece | Germany

Covid secure We are now open Monday to Friday and plan to re-open on Saturdays in October (click here for our opening times).  Whilst we have an ‘open door policy’ we must ensure we keep our customers and staff safe. To ensure we achieve this we ask that all customers follow the government guidelines in place. To keep our customers and staff safe, we will:  - ask customers when entering the shop to wear a face covering, use the hand-sanitiser provided and to maintain social distancing guidelines at all times; - have screens on the desks to create a physical barrier where social distancing rules cannot be maintained; - sanitise all surfaces – including desks and door handles between appointments, and at the start, middle and end of each day; - ask customers & visitors to provide their contact details for ‘track and trace’ purposes; - and ask that no more than one customer (maximum of two people) is in the shop at any one time.  We understand that some customers would prefer to book an appointment and we are happy to facilitate this to ensure we can work with you on your enquiry at a time to suit you. To make an appointment call us on 01237 488623, send us an email to info@bidefordtravel.co.uk or use our contact form here
